A garden reflects the owner’s favorite things. It can be expressed through having a garden theme.
A garden’s décor can be classified according to the theme. Experts usually advise garden lovers to choose a theme for their garden in order to create balance and bring out the proper mood. Several garden themes are becoming popular to many. If you want to recreate your garden, here are some garden themes and the right garden décor to enhance it:

  1. Zen garden décor- a zen garden soothes one’s soul and offers stress relief. To capture the look of a zen garden, choose certain rocks and a Buddha statue and carefully position in strategic areas. You can also add energy chimes and water fountains.
  2. Colorful garden décor – aside from the variety of flowering plants, add some decorative bird house and wreaths to make a garden more colorful. Scatter pink flamingos and floating swans on the pond. Gnomes in their colorful outfit can also add to the attraction.
  3. Children’s garden décor – kids love to play in the garden. Spice up their playing time with pencil colors-inspired garden fence. Place a sturdy swing under a tree and let flowering veins grow on the post. A small pond with decorative plastic toys is also a classic treat for the kids. Some children’s gardens have bubble machines and maze to amuse the little ones.
  4. Moonlight garden décor – this garden is radiant by moonlight. Some of the popular locations are well-traveled path, deck or balcony. To decorate, there must be a bench, a small fountain or a bird bath and a white statue. Of course you can always add garden downlights to fake that moonlight effect on cloudy nights.
  5. Holy garden décor – many of the best gardens are found in monastery or used by missionaries. This garden must be free from clutter and for a garden décor, use a stepping stone leading to the shrine of Our Lady or a Crucifix. A pool or a bird bath is also perfect in the setting.
  6. Romantic garden décor – inspired by Shakespeare, this garden is usually packed with fragrant flowers. Put a comfortable reading bench and create a maze hedge. There can also be swings and a wishing well. Arbors are also a great attraction especially if climbing roses are already growing on top of it.
  7. Garden décors can sometimes be expensive. Some garden owners prefer to create or invent their own décors and make sure these can withstand the changing seasons. For instance, used ribbons from the gifts you have received on your last birthday can be used to decorate the pots with special plants. Don’t just throw broken hangers or thick balloon sticks. You can use these to decorate leafy plants as well as support its branches so as to help them grow in place. Broken ceramic plates can be used as embellishments on dish plants. Use old bracelet and keychain accessories to create unique chimes and hang on a bird’s house. These ideas can do the trick on your lively garden. Enjoy decorating!
